Many of the names on that list gave forty, fifty, sixty years to this sport — building schools, training champions, representing Canada — and never built the kind of income that makes a ring like this an easy yes. This fund exists so no inductee has to decline the honour of wearing one because of the price. Every dollar goes directly toward sponsoring a ring for a fellow inductee who couldn't otherwise afford one.
